Non-traditional weddings on a budget

Part of what an ethical wedding meant to us was a wedding that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Many people now realize that there are ethics to being a consumer: we need to think about what we’re buying and where the money is going. Ideally, our wedding budget and expenses should reflect our personal ethics and values.

It’s so easy to get carried away with wedding planning and preparations. But as you may have noticed, there are a lot of companies and people that want this to happen! The wedding industry is really out of control, so much so that it takes a lot of effort and vigilance to keep your wedding affordable. The average wedding now costs much more than $20,000, which we believe is an outrageous sum.

Non-traditional weddings and ethics

Weddings require money, and there is nothing wrong with taking pains to create a special day for you and your guests. However, we couldn’t stomach the idea of spending huge sums of money (especially when most of it’s our parents’ money!) on what’s supposed to be a celebration of love and family. So while we planned our non-traditional wedding, we always tried to think about what we really needed and where the money was going.

Fortunately, when you plan a non-traditional wedding, it’s often easier to create an ethical and affordable wedding—you’re not locked into buying all of the normal wedding “essentials” found in mainstream wedding advice. Look forward to plenty of tips here on how to keep your non-traditional wedding affordable!

It became very difficult to choose a venue when you have just limited budget. It was same for me. But then I found Miami Wedding venues which were providing cheap and good facilities. Their services were good too.
